Now here’s a cute online shop that sells colorful and useful baby things. It’s Petites Frites, a California-based company that makes their products in the USA. The founders are a couple that left London to work on their business in the States. A pretty brave move but I think looking at their site, a good move.

Petites Frites is described as selling “classic baby accessories with a bohemian twist, locally produced with love right here in the USA.”

I particular like The Teether Blankie ($38)

It’s 12″ x 12″ and made of two layers of their signature fabric. At each corner is a removable teether. I never had something like this and would have used it all the time.

Look out Target shoppers, there’s a new line coming. Petit Trésor, the L.A. baby boutique best known for their luxurious products and celebrity following, has partnered with Target to create a cute collection. You’ll find a color palette of pastel pinks, blues and greens with touches of gingham print.

The line offers bibs, layette in sizes three to nine months, and snuggle blankets, with 10 percent of the purchase price going back to Baby Buggy to help babies and families in need.

Prices are low. Sleepers are $9.99, Snuggle Bears are $6.99, and their 3-pack short-sleeve bodysuits go for $16.99.

The collection will be available beginning October 31 through December 26 at select Target stores and on Target.com.

For babies, there’s the Closer to Nature line. This collection consists of bottles, pacifiers, milk-feeding bibs, and microwave steam sterilizers. The ones that we have are these spill-proof sippy cups. They have soft spouts which are good for kiddies to chew on and clear lids that cover over them to keep away yucky germs. So far, have not experienced any spillage so they get an “A” from me. They are a little big for little hands to hold but at least they’re designed to grip.
