Hyland’s Brings Sustainability Innovation To 4 Kids Bumps ‘n Bruises With Arnica
Hyland’s 4 Kids Bumps ‘n Bruises with Arnica is a topical push-up ointment stick that is free from PABA, synthetic preservatives, fragrances, parabens, and dyes. There are 3 colorful character sticks to choose from.
The brand teamed up with Chicago Paper Tube Company to roll out sustainable packaging technology that’s being used for the first time in the pharmaceuticals industry.
So what’s special about this packaging?
The Eco-Push™ is a 100% paperboard tube and without metal end caps. It’s made from 90% recycled materials (75% post-consumer content) and is printed with soy inks.
Hyland’s 4 Kids Bumps ‘n Bruises with Arnica was recently used for the first time by my daughter who was testing it on her bruise. Besides claiming the product worked for her, she also likes the different characters.
As for the packaging, it’s been successful so far.
Earlier this year, after a review by a panel of industry experts, including William McDonough, co-author of Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things, Chicago Paper Tube was awarded Luxe Pack’s ‘in green’ award for their EcoPush™ product concept.
“We at Hyland’s are parents too and teaching our children about the environment and healthy products is important to us,” added Le. “We designed colorful, whimsical ‘splat’-faced characters on the packaging for Hyland’s 4 Kids Bumps ‘n Bruises with Arnica to distract and delight kids when they are in pain. These entertaining faces also engage kids in the packaging and provide parents the opportunity to turn a ‘boo-boo’ into chance to talk to their kids about more eco-friendly products and choices.
Hyland’s 4 Kids Bumps ’n Bruises with Arnica is formulated for toddlers and children 2–12 years old, and can be applied topically as needed.
