CleanSmart: For Kid-Friendly Household Cleaning

Feel better about cleaning your home with CleanSmart.

The kid-friendly product line includes the 8 oz. Pacifier Sanitizer Spray, 16 oz. Toy Disinfectant Spray, and 23 oz. Nursery and High Chair Cleaner.

CleanSmart is safe for babies, kids and adults. There are no harmful chemicals, fumes, dyes or bleach. These products are approved to be used in neo-natal hospital units, in nurseries, on toys, and on baby pacifiers.

I received the three products above and tried them out. Unfortunately the spray pump on the Toy Disinfectant got broken during shipping. To fix that, I removed the spray pump (which has a different design) from the Pacifier Sanitizer to the Toy Disinfectant and that worked. You can use these products on any surface so you don’t have to use it just on toys and the highchair. The smell of each product isn’t of flowers or of a pleasant scent. It actually doesn’t smell like anything really, more of a subtle cleaning agent.

“Our new products make parents’ lives easier and more convenient, and we couldn’t be happier about that,” said Simple Science CEO Mark Dalrymple. “Pacifier Sanitizer is a major convenience for parents: instead of boiling to sanitize a new or dirty pacifier, now just spray CleanSmart Pacifier Sanitizer, wait 60 seconds, and give it back to baby. For parents on the go, this is a big deal.”

“Now, after a play date, or after a child has been sick, just spray CleanSmart Toy Disinfectant on toys, and walk away, or wipe after if you prefer,” adds Dalrymple. “No rinse, no wiping is required to kill 99.9 percent of germs.”

CleanSmart products are EPA-approved and claims they kill germs including E.coli, salmonella, common cold, influenza, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).

So how do they work?

Well, there’s the active ingredient, Hypochlorous, which is naturally produced in the human body to fight bacteria and infections. It is effective killing germs and pathogens, but gentle on people.

I say, why not give it a try if you have small children?

The products are reasonably priced for $4.99 – $5.99 each and are available at Babies R’Us stores nationwide and on For more information, visit
