Space Racers Airing On California’s KCET

Do you live in California? KCET –  the nation’s largest independent television station serving Southern and Central California, is airing Space Racers.

Space Racers is a new, animated preschool series, produced in collaboration with NASA experts. The half-hour show will debut during KCET’s weekend children’s programming block, beginning Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 7:30 a.m.

Join the adventures of young spaceship cadets at the Stardust Space Academy as they soar through the solar system. Young viewers will learn about the power of scientific investigation and observation, the wonders of space exploration, and the importance of working together as a team, all with fun and engaging characters they can relate to.  The series follows spaceships: Eagle, Hawk, Robyn, Starling and Raven, along with their fellow cadets and teachers at the Stardust Space Academy.

In addition, young viewers and their parents are invited to attend a special free screening event at the California Science Center at Exposition Park on Thursday, May 29 beginning at 10 a.m. To make a reservation, visit kcet.org/meetracers.
