Introducing The Waffogato (By the inventor of the Cronut)
The inventor of the Cronut – Dominque Ansel – has created something else for sweet tooths
This time, it’s the Waffogato. It will be available at his New York City bakery starting May 9.
According to The Eater – the dessert features vanilla ice cream with tapioca balls and “bits of Belgian waffle mixed inside” shaped as a waffle topped with a pinch of salt. A maple syrup espresso is poured on top just like a traditional affogato. The Waffogato will debut tonight at the Taste of the Nation charity fundraiser in NYC, the event for which it was specifically created.
