Books: David Carter’s 100
One of the best lift the flap books I’ve received in a long time is the new David Carter’s 100 (Sterling Children’s Books, February 2013).
It’s great for teaching children how to count to 100. My daughter will be starting Kindergarten this fall and I’ve been letting her read through it so she can be a little more prepared with her numbers.
There are literally 100 flaps – layered on top of each other like gift boxes filled with surprises!
Acclaimed master paper engineer and illustrator David Carter offers children a magical experience as they uncover an array of 100 wonderful things in a treasure trove of landscapes. From bustling city streets; to scenes deep undersea ; to a prehistoric world with dinosaurs , this clever, visually astonishing book will not only amaze kids, but teach them to count up to 100 too!
