The American Academy of Pediatrics along with other child care organizations like SIDS First Candle Alliance and Health Canada all agree that crib bedding poses a significant danger to babies. Their recommendation is that the only thing your baby needs in his crib is an appropriate-sized mattress and a well-fitted crib sheet. Crib bumpers, baby comforters, sleep positioners, stuffed animals and the like are linked to an increased risk of death or injury caused by smothering, entrapment, and strangulation. On the flip side, using these items have negligible benefits as compared to using sleep slacks and bumper-free cribs.’

This bedding set by Carter’s looks adorable. I just don’t think the bumper is a good idea. There has been so much research out there on the danger of these kind of bumpers. They can fall down a little and cause room for infant injury or worse. I love the set but I have to say I would do away with the bumper and replace it with Wonder Bumpers for the perfect alternative. Wonder Bumpers are a lot safer than this one and are attractive pads that zip right over the crib bars. They have won safety awards and would match great with this set.

Baby beddings should be made of organic cotton so that the baby would have a very sound sleep. Organic cotton is hypoallergenic compared to artificial fibers. ..,., Best regards medicine side effects pages
