Charlie & Lola: Books, DVDs And Dolls

Hey Charlie and Lola fans, there is a new picture book, collectible DVD set and dolls now available. I’ve been a fan since watching the television series on the Disney channel and now that I have the Charlie & Lola: Absolutely Completely Complete Seasons One and Two on DVD, my kids are too. The set is $55 and can be bought at the BBC website. On a recent car trip the kids watched and enjoyed a few of the 8 fabulous videos on the cutest 4 and 7-year-olds in London.

My son already had seen the TV series so I introduced my 2-year-old to Charlie and Lola by reading Slightly Invisible by Lauren Child. The story is about Charlie and his friend Marv concocting an invisibility potion to help them find strange and tricky creatures. However interrupting little sister Lola wants her imaginary friend Soren Lorensen to help too. Lots to look at and of course, keeps in style of the characters. The book is fun to read and is recommended for ages 3-6. Price is $16.99.

The Charlie & Lola Play Set is $26 and are packaged in a reusable playscene. Can I say these dolls are adorable? The kids can bend the arms and legs into any pose. Each character speaks their signature opening line from the book, video and TV episode: “I have this little sister, Lola. She is small and very funny,” says Charlie. Responds Lola, “I’m not small. I am BIG!”
