Lollies That Prevent Cavities?

2

When I heard about these particular lollipops made to prevent cavities, I laughed. Who would think that candy could do such a thing?

The CariFree Xyli-Tots Lollies shown above contain the secret ingredient Xylitol. It’s a sugar substitute that targets cavity-causing bacteria and decreases acidity. Basically, its aim is to prevent filling holes in the teeth before they happen.

I was sent three lollies to try out. Two of them I gave to my kids. They liked them enough to eat the whole thing. Trying a “lime laughs” flavor myself, I found it not too sugary and dissolved easily.

Note! These are not organic. They contain artificial flavors as well as food colorings such as Red 3, 40, Yellow 5, 6. Now why couldn’t they make these lollies entirely organic? That’s my only criticism about these. If you’re curious, price is $12.50 for a bag of 24 lollies. You can find out more at the CariFree website.

Those sound pretty good for kids. I’ll have to get some for the kiddos!
