Safety First: Britax Advocate CS convertible car seat

Now that our 8-month-old daughter is out of her infant car seat, she’s now graduated to a Britax. Introducing the new Britax Advocate CS, a car seat that is plush, comfy and very different than the Britax Frontier Combination Harness 2-Booster we featured here in November.

This new convertible child safety seat out uses Side Impact Cushion Technology. Britax claims that the side cushions on the Advocate CS compress to absorb any incoming crash forces and safely expels the air through strategically placed vents. In doing so, this reduces injury and diverts crash forces away from the child.

The Advocate CS has a five-point harness and accommodates children rear-facing from five to 35 pounds and forward-facing from at least one year old and 20 pounds up to 65 pounds.

Putting the baby in the seat is easy enough and the harness straps do not tangle. The Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator lets me know with a click when the straps are secure and snug around the baby. It’s a comfortable seat since it has deep head wings and sides. The only problem I have with it is that it’s hard for me to tug the crotch strap loose when trying to adjust the harness straps.

Some of the Britax Advocate CS features are listed below:

  • Quick-Adjust Head Restraint
  • Five-Point Harness with multiple heights
  • Premium push-button LATCH connectors
  • Rear and forward-facing recline
  • Energy-managing protective foam

The Advocate CS is available in five fashions. Shown here is the style Kathryn, the most attractive design. In conclusion, I do feel happy and confident that my baby is safe in the Britax Advocate CS.

You can buy one at Retail price is $369.99.
