Luxury ride for infants: Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30

I am so grateful that I was given the chance to try Peg Perego’s Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Active Infant Car Seat.

A perfect example of you get what you pay for. This infant car seat is a winner for me. It’s beautifully made and the quality of materials is very evident. The seat cushioning materials look so comfortable that I just wanted to jump in and take a nap next to snoozing baby. The strapping system is a joy to use and very easy to adjust to varying layers of baby’s winter clothing.

The only con I could find is that the car seat is a little heavier than the Graco model it replaced, but that alone would not stop me from buying it. The seat locks down into the sturdy base unit with a firm and satisfying clunk every time. Removal is also easy by pulling the simple lever and lifting the seat out simultaneously.

Because of the expense, I suggest getting this model for your first child as I expect to use it for only a year or so before baby gets too big. You can then hand it down to the next child. There is a 30 lbs max baby weight and a 30 inches long limitation. The carrying handle adjusts easily and gives a nice firm comforting grip as you transport baby from car to house. I have used this product for one month now and it gets a 5 star living with rating from me.

You can buy the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Active Infant Car Seat at the Babycenter store for $224. 29. They give you free shipping! (See banner on right column and click).
